THE BIG SUPRISE

CHAPTER ONE

It was a spring morning, February the 20th 2001.  Rebecca was doing a show in the school hall. It was a competition to see who the best dancer was. Guess what, she won! She went back to the school feeling very pleased with her self.

Conner a friend of Rebecca’s was playing on the computer. He is playing on club penguin, his favourite game.

Sean is having a party in class. At this school you are allowed to do it. He had chicken to eat and for pudding we had ice cream. He also had party games like football.

George was outside playing. He is doing a game of doge ball with his friends. He had never been it yet because he had super powers that only Rebecca, Conner and Sean new about.

Just then the school bell rang, BBBRRRING! The first thing on the board was to for George, Sean, Conner and Rebecca to go and read a book in the library. So they did.

When they got there Sean picked up a book. But just as he did the whole book case fell down. A shiny door appeared!

CHAPTER TWO

The voice

Sean looked where he had picked the book and there was a key! Conner unlocked the door. “Are you…” but a voice interrupted him. “Who goes there?” said a voice. It was frightening and they fell down a hole that they hadn’t seen.

The voice called out again. “I’ll get you for going down my secret passage.” “Where are you?” said Conner with sweat all over his face. “I’m somewhere you’ll never find me. Ha ha!” said the voice. They called again but no one answered!

The passage was dark and creepy and there was water everywhere. Rebecca started crying. Then a light came from nowhere.

Chapter three

The sign

They walked along the dark passage. Rebecca kept wailing. She said “somebody is following us,” and then she kept on turning round.

Ever time they walked to the next light the one behind went out.  Rebecca kept on wailing.

Just then a rat scuttled past and Sean fell into a big spider web. Suddenly George bumped into a wall. “I think this is a dead end but I’ll check” said George.

He shone his torch around and saw a ladder. “Lets try that” said Sean still covered in spider web. First Conner went then Sean, Rebecca and George.

“What’s up there?” said Rebecca in a worried voice to Conner. “A maze to the top of the earth I think.” So they all climbed into the maze.

“There are too many dead ends” complained Rebecca. “Wait, there’s a hole over there!”

When they got out there was a sign saying ‘THIS WAY PLEASE.’  Suddenly they saw a bag of …

Chapter four

The gold!

… gold! “Lets take this back to Seabay School” they said all at once. Suddenly George said “hurry back before it’s sold!”

All four of them stared for a moment because they didn’t know where to go. Suddenly Rebecca said “I thought I heard that voice again.” “So did I” said Conner.

Just then a trap door fell! “Where are we going?” said Sean sleepily. “So…” said Gorge, but they were fast asleep.

When they woke they were back in the library. (They had forgotten everything all except the gold)

“Lets go and tell the head teacher” said Conner. “Ok” said George. “Head Master” shouted Sean. “Yes” said Mr Scott. “We’ve got gold for the school to be repaired!”

“Yee haa!” said Mr Scott. That day they all had a celebration!
